When Getting A Deal Goes Wrong!

If you ask ME, getting a record deal is as easy as ever today. The hard part is getting your album on the shelf. You know you're ready, your team knows you're ready, but what is the hold up?.... these "know-it-all" ass execs. The picture up top is of my artist/cousin T. Waters, he was signed to SoSo Def through me back around 2005. He was hands down the best artist JD had on his roster and I'm not just saying that because that's my family, do your own research or you can even ask JD himself. Why we never made it to the shelf? it damn sure wasn't the music. To all you artist that ask me for help getting in the game and for tips and what not, I'm gonna tell you like Talib Kweli told me "get out there and hustle your own music and you'll know when you doing what you suppose to be doing when the industry come looking for you". Don't let these "execs" tell you "that's not the record" because most of them is looking for you to sound like what's hot at the time anyway. If you're happy with the music your making then you gotta get out in the streets and make the people get on your page and ride with you. Don't lose your hunger and don't ever give up on something you believe in because somebody else don't believe in you.

I Think I'm Big Meech!!!

While I was gone I did a lot of reading but since I been home I've been slacking. Until my homey Styles P dropped his fiction novel and Mara Shalhoup put out this BMF book and got me back in a reading mood. Thanks to Twitter I learned that there's a lot of stupid people that might not know how to read, but for those that can I recommend these two books. Meanwhile back in NYC Rick Ross just wrapped up the BMF video featuring Styles P. Gooooooooooooooooooooo Yonkers!!!

After watching DRAKES: BETTER THAN GOOD ENOUGH I got a whole new respect for homie. I respect any man in POWER that set's his team up to make they own paper. I'm not a fan of the one with the MONEY just handing it out and nobody is working for it. If you worth some money then your team should be out getting they hustle on to make them some money while finding you some. The dude 40 is sick and you see how hard he goes for Drizzy? that's a LOYAL dude and Drake rewarded him in a major way....... Check The Credits!!!! That's the type of shit I'm on so I can spot a LOYAL dude a mile away. I alway's was the " I shine,you shine" type of dude. Maybe some of you snake ass n*ggas will learn this one day instead of always trying to go for self.

When Is The Money Gonna Catch Up To The Power?

I know a lot of powerful people in the USA and some of them consider me a man with POWER. So I ask myself if I am a man with POWER, why my pockets is not on the same level as there's? what am I doing wrong or not doing at all? I'll take the POWER and just get by but I'm getting to old and I deserve some MONEY to go along with this POWER. Get it together BART, you gotta go get what's yours because nobody is gonna give you anything!!!!
